BB at Larrybane Quarry
BB explored the wide open paths and coastal views at Larrybane Quarry, a historic limestone quarry overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
With dramatic cliffs, open skies and peaceful walking trails, this spot is perfect for slow, scenic walks with plenty of fresh sea air.
The quarry is best known as a filming location for Game of Thrones, but for BB it was all about the smells, the breeze and the views 🐾

BB at Whiterocks Cliffpath, Portrush
BB followed the winding cliff path above Whiterocks Beach, with sweeping views across the North Coast and the sound of waves below.
This section of the walk is famous for its chalk cliffs, open skies and peaceful coastal scenery.

BB at Dunserverick
BB stepped into a winter wonderland at Dunseverick, where snow met sea and the Atlantic rolled in beneath dramatic skies.
Just a short walk from the Ramblers Rest, the coastal path offers breathtaking views across the rocks and waves, with gentle grassy tracks leading down towards the shoreline.
Even in winter, this place feels alive, powerful and peaceful all at once. For BB, it was a day of crunchy snow under her paws, salty air in her nose and endless space to explore.

BB at White Park Bay
At the quieter cliff side of White Park Bay, BB discovered a winding little stream tucked beneath grassy cliffs and mossy rock.
This is the side of White Park Bay most visitors never see — where water trickles through green banks, birds hide in the reeds and dogs can splash, sniff and explore to their heart’s content.
For BB, it was all about muddy paws, rushing water and that look of pure joy only a dog in a stream can have.
You may spot cows on the beach, visible from the top of the walk near the car park. Pop dogs on a lead here and you’re fine. After that, it’s a lovely, safe dog-friendly stretch with no sheep until the headlands.

BB at Portstewart Strand
BB explored the wide open sands of Portstewart Strand, one of the North Coast’s most popular and accessible beach walks. With its long, flat shoreline and wide open space, it’s perfect for relaxed strolls, longer coastal walks, and dogs who love the freedom of sea air and soft sand.
BB enjoyed wandering along the water’s edge, watching the waves and taking in the big North Coast skies.
For those wanting to extend the walk into a circular route, head into the dunes at post number 8, then follow the Bann side path until you reach the mouth of the river before looping back. This adds variety and gives a lovely contrast between beach, dunes and river views.
Portstewart Strand is an easy, scenic walk and a great addition to any North Coast adventure — offering a completely different experience from cliff paths and hidden bays.

BB at the River Bush Bridge, Runkerry
BB explored the peaceful riverside path at the back of Runkerry Beach, stopping at the wooden bridge beside the River Bush on the coastal route between Portballintrae and the Giant’s Causeway.
This gentle stretch of path follows the river as it winds toward the sea, with open views across Runkerry Beach and the surrounding coastline. The bridge makes a lovely pause point — a quiet spot to watch the water flow and take in the contrast between river, sand and sea.
It’s an easy, mostly level walk and a great alternative to the busier cliff sections of the Causeway Coast Path. Dogs enjoy the calm surroundings and fresh water nearby, while walkers can appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and wide North Coast skies.
This route links beautifully with other coastal walks, making it ideal for a short wander or as part of a longer adventure along the Causeway Coast.
